Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee have released 70 new photos from the estate of Jeffrey Epstein, intensifying their campaign to compel the Justice Department to meet a critical deadline for disclosing extensive files related to the disgraced financier. These images are part of approximately 95,000 photos that have been made public in stages, stemming from a subpoena issued by the committee last summer.

The release not only increases pressure on the DOJ but also sheds light on Epstein’s connections with high-profile figures. Last week, images were disclosed showing Epstein with notable individuals such as Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, and Steve Bannon. "Oversight Democrats will continue to release photographs and documents to provide transparency," stated Rep. Robert Garcia, highlighting the urgency of the DOJ's compliance with the upcoming deadline for the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

The new batch of photos includes pictures of Gates with a woman whose identity has been concealed, and disturbing content such as a woman’s passport and text messages discussing monetary transactions for girls, hinting at illegal activities. The identity of the text sender remains unknown.

Despite these revelations, spokespeople for Trump and Clinton maintain that both had severed ties with Epstein well before his 2019 arrest, denying any knowledge of his criminal activities. Bannon has yet to comment on his relationship with Epstein as depicted in the photos.

As the DOJ's deadline to release all relevant Epstein material approaches, spearheaded by a GOP-led initiative that was reluctantly passed with Trump’s endorsement, the transparency of these files remains a contentious issue. Rep. Ro Khanna, a leading advocate for the bill, expressed skepticism about potential delays in the release process, linking it to political maneuvering in the House.

Moreover, the Democrats noted the absence of context for the newly released images and pointed out the redaction of young women's faces, indicating concerns over potential victim identification.
