The collective voice of discontent will echo through the streets once more as the "No Kings 3" protest is scheduled for March 28. This marks the fourth major demonstration against President Donald Trump's administration during his controversial second term. Ezra Levin, a prominent rally organizer and co-founder of the progressive group Indivisible, anticipates this event will draw even larger crowds than the previous gatherings.
According to Levin, the upcoming protest is a direct response to the actions of a "secret police force" he claims is terrorizing communities across the United States. "This is not unexpected," Levin stated. "A lawless police force committing crimes nationwide only strengthens our resolve to protect democracy and the very fabric of our community."
Indivisible's previous protests drew millions to the streets, with attendance numbers growing with each event; from 3 million at the "Hands Off" rally in April 2025 to an astonishing 7 million in October for the second "No Kings" demonstration. For March, organizers are aiming for nearly 9 million participants.
The urgency of the protest has been compounded by recent tragic events, including the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minnesota, both killed this month in separate incidents involving law enforcement officers. Levin described these events as "tragic and horrific," reinforcing the necessity for the upcoming demonstration.
Despite criticism from Trump and his allies — who have disparagingly labeled past protests as "hate America" rallies — the movement continues to gain momentum. In preparation for potential confrontations, Indivisible is taking proactive steps to ensure the safety of demonstrators by conducting de-escalation and non-violent documentation training sessions.
Levin remains candid about the risks involved in standing up to what he describes as a regime. "It's a sad reality that participating in a protest today comes with risks," he explained. "But the alternative—remaining silent—is not an option. We're committed to non-violent expression and safeguarding the rights and safety of all demonstrators."
With a proven track record of peaceful protests and zero arrests reported in major cities during the last demonstration, the organizers hope to replicate this success while preparing for any possible challenges. As March 28 approaches, the nation watches closely, bracing for what may be the largest demonstration yet in a series of protests that continue to shape the political landscape of America.
