Trump praised Barr on social media, stating, “I know Andy well, and he is always a Vote we can count on because he knows what it takes to GET THINGS DONE and, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” This support is seen as a crucial advantage in securing the GOP nomination in a state that leans heavily Republican.

Simultaneously, Trump suggested an ambassadorial position to Morris, a self-styled MAGA candidate who had received a significant $10 million campaign contribution from tech mogul Elon Musk. Despite this substantial backing, Morris has stepped down from the race, endorsing Barr and urging Kentuckians to support him. Trump lauded Morris as a "strong MAGA Warrior" who is "Oxford educated, tough as nails, LOVES our Great Nation, and will represent the United States very well, overseas, or otherwise."
