They highlighted her previous legislative decisions, particularly her approval of several appointees to President Donald Trump’s Cabinet, as evidence of a misalignment with the current political needs of the Democratic Party.

“House Democrats don't need a lesson on reading the political moment from someone who handed Donald Trump one of the most corrupt Cabinets in American history," the CBC stated in their post. They specifically pointed to Slotkin's votes to confirm figures such as Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi, signaling a disapproval of her judgment during crucial times.

The caucus concluded their remarks with a poignant reminder of their focus on American needs, emphasizing the importance of unity and resolve within the party.
