In an exclusive interview with POLITICO, Crowley expressed his intent to use the candidacies of GOP Rep. Tom Tiffany and former President Donald Trump as unifying adversaries for the Democrats. "We may not agree on everything, but our primary objective is to prevent a MAGA extremist like Tom Tiffany from becoming governor," Crowley stated. He emphasized that this election represents a significant opportunity to counter Trump's influence, particularly in light of the ongoing affordability crisis.

A key battleground state, Wisconsin was narrowly won by Trump in the 2024 election, making the governorship especially pivotal for Democrats hoping to establish a governing trifecta for the first time since 2010. Beyond consolidating his base, Crowley is also reaching out to independents and disillusioned Republican voters, building on a strategy that helped Evers defeat GOP Governor Scott Walker in 2018.

Instead, Crowley and Hong have agreed on implementing legislative "guardrails" to manage data center growth responsibly, addressing environmental and community concerns.
