In a strategic deployment of its substantial financial resources, President Donald Trump’s MAGA Inc. has made a significant financial intervention to support Senator Darline Graham in the impending South Carolina GOP runoff. This move marks one of the first major uses of the super PAC's nearly $400 million warchest this year, highlighting its selective investment strategy in the 2026 midterm elections.

According to recent Federal Election Commission reports, MAGA Inc. has invested over $827,000 in a focused campaign comprising voter phone calls and text messaging to bolster Graham's candidacy against her rival, Representative Ralph Norman. The runoff, scheduled for this Tuesday, is poised to be a tightly contested battle, with these last-minute efforts aiming to tilt the scales in Graham's favor.

This financial thrust comes on the heels of a rare in-person rally Trump held with Graham last Friday, signaling a strong endorsement from the former President. The substantial investment by MAGA Inc. into Graham’s campaign is notably distinct, as the PAC has remained relatively quiet in other key races this cycle. This has occurred despite pressure from within the Republican Party for more aggressive spending to counteract the Democrats' significant fundraising efforts.

As of last week, MAGA Inc. reported an impressive fundraising total exceeding $403 million. However, the expenditure on Graham’s campaign is only the second instance this year that the PAC has openly spent on electoral races. Earlier, a modest $18,000 was allocated to now-Representative Clay Fuller (R-Ga.) in March, during the special election to fill the seat vacated by former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.

In late 2025, MAGA Inc. also invested about $1.7 million in phone campaign efforts for Tennessee Republican Matt Van Epps, who subsequently won the special election to replace the retired Representative Mark Green (R-Tenn.).

The outcome of Tuesday’s runoff will not only determine the Republican nominee for South Carolina but will also serve as a testament to Trump’s enduring influence in the GOP primaries. After a series of losses for Trump-endorsed candidates in various states, a victory for Graham could significantly bolster Trump's standing within the party.
